Question by algeronics: How do I fix my laptop battery icon?
As soon as I unplug it from its charger, the percentage of the battery drops down dramtically in less than 3 – 5 mins and causes my laptop to hibernate. When I turn my laptop back on from hibernation mode, it continues to drop down and then stops at 6% and stays there. It is saying that I only have 6% of battery left but I am still able to use it for another hour or longer.

what was the battery life like before this?
is it possible the battery is dying?
how old is the laptop – some batteries have a life of 12 – 24 months…
