when i use head phone i doesnt want to work. once i plug in the head phone i have to hold it, push, turn and so on. some i sometime hear it and sometime i dont. where can i take my laptop to get it fix? does bestbuy or circuit city do repair or i have to send it out? i had the laptop about 3 yrs now. there’s no more warranty on it. it started doing it for about a year now and it getting worse. now when i plug in the headphone i dont hear anything at all. thanks in advance.
what i’m trying to say is that where you plug in the headphone is going bad. i can hear it when iam not using the headphone, but sometime i had to wiggle the parts that you plug the headphones in to get it to work. i was suggested to tape in down with electrical tape when i get it to work. sorry if i’m not explaining this clearly enuff. i just remember exactly what you call the parts that you plug the headphone it. Thank you.

i know for sure that it’s not the headphone or volume controll. it’s the part where you plug in the phone that is going bad. i was told that the only way to get my laptop fix is to send the laptop. my question is should i take it to my local computer repair shop or it’s best if send it in to SONY VAIO? Thank you.

First try to play some music files without headphone. If it plays than its ok, you have to buy new headphone. Its the headphone issue not the laptop. But if the sound is not coming from the laptop, Please use Control panel and see if there is any driver issue.
