Question by Blowininthewind: How do I fix the backlight on my Toshiba Laptop?
My laptop is not even 2 years old yet and the backlight went out. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Either you need a backlight power inverter or the CCFL tubes themselves need to be replaced. The backlight tubes usually last a long time, so I’m betting on the inverter. They can be found on ebay by searching for “(your model number) inverter”. The cheapest one will work.
Disassembly instructions can be found on Toshiba’s website in the support manuals, and usually involves removing some screws around the screen and probably above the keyboard to get access to it, along with removing the screen bezel.
