Q&A: How can I enable wireless capability on my laptop computer?

Question by Babyfaceboy: How can I enable wireless capability on my laptop computer?
On my laptop, there is a button that I can push and hold to turn on wireless capabilities. However, the button is broke and although the device (WAN) is enabled and working properly under system devices, I’m still not able to browse the internet. The reason is because the wireless capability is not activated. How can I go through the system to turn on my wireless capability?

Depending on the make of the laptop – You should have a shortcut to enable / diable wireless functionality. I am not sure about the old ones. In case of dell 6400 – This is fn+F2
