I dont know if it is turned off but its on the bottom menu next to the time in the far right hand corner of the screen,and it has an x over it,i have tryed reinstalling it but nothing,even when i click it nothing happens,it said the laptop has been put back into factory mode after being fixed or something,how can i go on the web or turn the lan detector back on?

Check around the case of the laptop. Many have an on/off switch right there.

there should be a Wifi buttion/swich to enable it.
