		<description>if the large slot is probably the PCMCIA(about 2 inches wide) slot many things can go in there(like blue tooth recievers, wireless recievers, tv cards...)

 the small one with SD/MMC/msxD is also for many things like memory cards from phone, digital cameras and many other things

that plastic piece is just to keep the dust out while nothing is in the slot my HP has it too</description>
