I use Husky that I purchased at home depot for under 100. Will work up to loosening lug nuts and smaller or nuts with less toque.

The pressure setpoint (125 psi) should be fine. Many air tools are rated at a pressure of 90 psi. More important is the delivery rate of air. If you are working fairly steady with air tools, you need a fairly large compressor to keep up with the demand. The attached web site looks like a fairly good guide for average air consumption of many of the common tools.

Another consideration is long term maintenance. The cheaper compressors are basically disposable, they cannot be overhauled or are not worth overhauling. The more expensive ones have a much longer life span and can be serviced and overhauled. These units have a higher initial cost but will save you money over the long term.
