If the file which you a transferring is infected, your phone also can be infected.. Its better if u scan each file before transferring to your phone.

    It’s possible.
My phone uses a san disk mini to have my files on there. Somehow i messed up my disk because of something i tried puttin on there that wasnt compatible with the chip but it was with my computer so it wasnt really a virus untill it got onto my chip.

The virus made it so there were millions of folders with nothing in it and i couldnt put anymore things into the chip. but i fixed it after i reformatted my chip and deleted everything on it and started over.

Probably not. Viruses tend to home in on what OS they are compatible with. Right now the dog of viruses are against Windows OSs. Not as many as Windows Mobile 6.x or Sony’s old and new OS versions that may have viruses out there.

If you sync contacts, calendars, and thensome and you’re infected with a trojan it’ll submit your Windows based contacts, calendars, and thensome. Not through the mobile phone unless it’s an internet tether.

yes. I had transferred some files from my pc to my mobile n later the virus acted upon n my mobile started to make auto calls.

If that virus works with your mobile phone it will infect to your phone when you transfer an infected file. So first scan the files that you want to transfer. If your mobile phone infected with that virus it can be a panic than the computer.

Most likely not. As said before viruses are generally designed to corrupt a specific platform. I would see this as most probably if you were running vista and had a phone that ran a version of windows mobile. Otherwise I would say no. Your phone runs Symbian so I would say no.

    mmmmm
i am trying to understand ur question
but if is that what i think
i don’t believe your phone could be affected with a computer viruses
    because of two reasons:
1 ur cellphone uses a different type of file system than the one that u have on ur pc.

    2. Most (not all of them) of the computer viruses are designed for the x86 family processor and i guess ur cellphone is not using an intel pentium

in other words don’t worry about ur cell phone
but be aware that other computers might get virus if u attached ur cellphone to them
