I recently purchased a HP Pavilion Laptop with Windows 7. Unfortunately the software that is needed to hook up my Laptop to my HP Photosmart printer wirelessly only goes up to Windows XP. I went to the HP site to download the software but i find out i have to pay $ 10 for it. -_- Is there any other way to hook up my laptop to my printer wirelessly or is buying the software my only option?

I think you were looking at something else, probably buying a CD with the software on it or something because the software download should be free for any of the software from HP’s website. If you list, or send me (click my icon and email me), the exact make and model of your printer and which version of Windows 7 (32 bit or 64 bit), I can look up the HP web link for you and list it here for you to go to and download the software you need for free.

Click on the Download button in the top left corner of the text area and run it (or save it for future needs on a CD, then run it). It is the full software & driver version for your printer. This will give you everything you need.
Be aware, this is a file over 290MB in size and will take awhile to download.
