Q&A: i have a virus on laptop?

i have downloaded 2 types of antivirus software on laptop, i use msn and for some reason i have messages from my friends saying its send links thru msn but the link has smiley faces attached to the link? any reason why this is happning and how do i get rid of this virus/infection as i have done several scans and all the infections found go to the virus vault on avg… please help! all answers will be greatfully recieved.

you should take it to where u bought it and then ask them what they recommend you to add on the laptop

You should google that it tells you a lot about those they are viruses sent thru msn makes you think it’s sent from your friend so you download and end up with viruses try windows live one care it’s good at detecting virsuses of all kinds
all virus’s when found on the computer are “quarantined” which means there basically put in a virtual cage and put under heavy watch and that means that you still have it but it is being put under heavy watch and if it does anything suspicious the computer will alert you the reason why your friend sent you the email is because his computer is in fact infected with the virus and one of the things the virus does is it sends emails out with links to the virus to everyone on his contact lists it also does this on aim as well… it will send im’s to everyone on your buddy list. the best thing is to do a search and when it is over and you see all ur quarintend virus’s click delete click on them and delete / remove them also sometimes having more then one time of antivirus isn’t good for your computer either …. windows also has its own antivirus so technically you have 3 and this could be slowing your computer down by a lot! but yea if this doesn’t work email me ill walk you through a way to completely remove it and clean your entire computer out.
The first thing you should do is to remove one of the antivirus.You should always keep one antivirus at a time.Every antivirus has its way of working,so keeping two antivirus at the same time could put you into trouble.If you wanna go for effective protection than use the following combination AVG 8 FREE,Spybot Search and Destroy and Zone Alarm Firewall.You must keep these security softwares uptodate.
