Question by megabite_me: Problems with vista start menu.?
a few days ago i ra ccleaner and cleaned my registry. before i ran it i backed it up. anyways afterward my recent programs list quit working. i can still access programs throught the program folder and i can pin program icons to the start menu but i cant get it to show a history. i have vista home premium and have all updates, except sp1..problems with that too but anoither time with that. also the ccleaner iused was a portable one and i used the backup registry i saved and it still didnt fix the problem. any help will be appreciated.

Put your mouse over the Windows Logo on the Start menu.
Right click.
Click on properties.
You should be on the Start Menu tab, if not, get to it.
The bubble on Start menu should be filled in, instead of Classic Start menu.
Click on customize.
You can adjust the number of recent programs to display here.
