“This file is too big for your selected destination”? USB Hard Drive problem?
Question by Carl: “This file is too big for your selected destination”? USB Hard Drive problem?
I bought a 16GB USB Portable hard drive off Amazon.co.uk, and got it this morning. I transfered all my music to my other computer, and now I try to bring over another file (which is 5GB) I get a problem message saying “This file is too big”. I formatted it, and still its “too big”.
I checked the properties; and it says “14.9GB remaining”, so theres nearly enough room for 3 of the files!
Can someone tell me whats wrong; and what I can do to fix it?

yes.
the flash drives are formatted in FAT32 format
when you are going to format the drive through my computer before click start on the top it give you options for FILE ALLOCTION TABLE:
make sure you pick NTFS and then click QUICK format.
and you’re good to go.
unless you got one of those fake Hong Kong drives that say they are 16gb but really only 1, 2 or 4 :)
