I would take the battery out/off the laptop and use the power supply only until you can get a replacement battery.

You wont damage your notebook if you leave the battery on and get the charging/discharging message every 2-3 seconds, but isn’t it a bit annoying? I wouldn’t want to see it at all.

I would spend the $ 106.00 and get a new battery for it.. I have the same notebook and had to replace my battery as well. The new battery will come with a 1yr warranty so if it dies again within that time, you get another one sent.

If it were me, I’d remove the batt and run the laptop on just the charger/ac pack.

    You could try this way:

Use the battery completely, then plug in to charge (leave to charge overnight), repeat this three times. this gives the battery a maximum charge. do this regularly, battery will last longer.

If no use, pls buy replacement laptop battery. Great battery here: http://www.laptop-battery-fast.org

Maybe there is something wrong with you charger, so you can take out your battery and figure out whether you laptop will show the charging and dis charging state. If you laptop can’t open or suddenly die, it means that your laptop adapter is broken, you need to change one. If you want to figure out you problem please vist the battery FAQ to solve your problem.
