Please help, laptop infected with virus, will not allow me to “run” virus program?

Question by southman2010: Please help, laptop infected with virus, will not allow me to “run” virus program?
I have a Dell Inspiron 600m, had little to no virus protection, purchased Mcafee virus scan, system wont let me run the program, says installfile is infected, also wont let me axcess restore point, says its infected also..?????

try using a bootable malware cleaner (to do this you need a un infected computer) cd part one :

part seven:

if that still doesn’t work you need to reformat

(i also heard theirs a way malwarebytes will run in safe mode if the stuff your describing is happening but i don’t know how to do this)

    Start your computer is “Safe Mode” and then run your anti virus software. Also be sure to turn off “System Restore” first. If this doesn’t work you will need to reload Windows and all of your programs.

    Turn off System Restore…Restart PC in safe mode by tapping F-8 key, choosing “Safe Mode with Networking” (black screen). Download, update, run, Malwarebytes, checking all that it finds. After Malwarebytes restarts, run it again in normal mode and download, update, run, SuperAntiSpyware, and Avira, and ccleaner. Restart PC and turn System Restore back on…

    Note: when downloading Avira…During the install, under “Choose Installation Type” select “Custom”, and under “Install Components” untick “AntiVir Guard”.
