Question by Aya: Directory or file Cannot be Created (While trying to transfer music files to MP3 Player) ?
I downloaded a couple of songs last night but i wasn’t able to transfer it to my player because it said there’s not enough space so i just left it on my documents thinking i’ll wait until i’ve decided on which older files should i delete.
I was able to use my player and play all the songs in it this afternoon until the battery ran low. Just before the battery went dead, the computer’s detection thing (the one that automatically detects whenever a portable device has been plugged) went on and off and began displaying a blank screen, instead of showing my file folders.
After recharging my player, i opened it and found the entire content has been erased or at least it appears so since there’s nothing on the removable drive. I figured since the previous files have been erased, i’ll just transfer the new files i left on ‘my documents’ first then download the previous files again.
Unfortunately, when i tried to create a folder, it says “directory or file cannot be created’
i tried to cut and paste a couple of files from my docs to removable drive but it says the same thing
i tried to cut and paste a single file from my docs to removable drive but it says the same thing
I tried to use the ‘send to’ option to send the files to removable drive but it says the same thing
I tried to transfer the music files to the desktop and send it to the removable drive from there but it says the same thing
I was browsing yahoo answers a while ago and previously resolved questions say it’s probably because the memory is full.
I can delete files, the problem is, i can’t seem to see any files to delete in the removable drive. all there is a blank screeen.
How can i fix this and start transferring to my player again?
