operating systems. I recently cleared the laptop again and installed Win 7. Now I don’t have audio and the system is showing an icon in the bottom taskbar stating “No audio output device is installed”. I’m thinking I need to download audio drivers but not sure which ones. Thanks.

Ok. Well, you visit the support website for [unknown laptop manufacturer] and you put in your model number, and you download the Windows 7 audio drivers, and you install them.
If you wanted a direct link… maybe you should have included the make and model of your laptop.
