Solutions for Broken Laptop USB Ports?

Question by ziggyrulz5678: Solutions for Broken Laptop USB Ports?
My laptop is an emachines E627. I have two USB ports on the left hand side of my laptop. My most needed part of my laptop is my wireless mouse which has a little chip like piece I plug in and it barely sticks out. Over the course of I would say 6 months of constantly moving the laptop from place to place daily I have managed to bang the side and mess up both ports by, I guess it being jammed in too hard or something. I don’t know. But anyways, I have to have my mouse! I know I don’t really, but I play WOW and it helps a ton and makes it so much easier than having to use the pad for just about everything. What can I do to fix them? Could I maybe get the part of the laptop replaced or something other than buying a whole new laptop. Please include a estimate of the repair parts. Thanks!
There is no problem with the laptop it’s all fine so it’s not the mother board. Its just that the usb port is physically broken. In the port the black thing that sticks out like this [I] is broken like snapped for both of them. I will look into the docking station but how does that add ports if I don’t have any that work. Thanks for all the help so far!

IDK specifically about your laptop, but I can recommend that a lot of docking stations add usb ports to laptops, I had a dell that only had 1 port, broke of course, but buying a docking station fixed that problem for me, just search your laptop model on ebay and see what type of docking stations are available.

Mother board might be going on you… ooh that’s not good… it’ll run you a little over $ 230 motherboard + $ 60 repair + other (i.e hard drive, or ram) parts (if needed) could cost you up to $ 150. Potentially up to $ 450 (plus tax). I would bu a new laptop.
