Question by wolvejl: How do I get my laptop to display images on the screen? It only shows it boot up. there is no virus on it.?
It won’t show anything else once it gets past the boot up sequence. There is no viruses on it. I just can’t figure out how to get the screen to display after boot up. Please help.

That sounds like you’ve got your laptop set to display to an external monitor, so it’s not displaying anything on the built-in screen. If you have a spare screen handy, just plug it in, and you’ll probably see everything as normal on that screen. If you don’t have a spare screen handy, you can go into the BIOS and see if there’s an option to force use of the inbuilt screen.

There could be a button somewhere on your laptop that switches it to “Presentation Mode”, try pressing that and things might go back to normal.

If all else fails, reinstall your operating system. There doesn’t appear to be a problem with your actual screen as it’s working during bootup, so it could just be that something’s wrong with your display drivers.
