the fan is making some strange noises, and the laptop is running really slow at the moment…plus the ac/dc jack is damaged a little….
wasnt fan, found out it was the disk drive that went out…

Depends on where you take it but most likely over $ 100.

If you have had it less than a year its free from Toshiba. If more than a year, you can send it anyway and get a quote for free.
The DC in jack might be free, they have a known issue with L305, L355, and a few other models that I know of. Check the issues for your model here:
