well you have 2 options and listen carefully i could help

    1) GO TO START > ALL PROGRAMS > SYSTEM TOOLS OR IN ACCESSORIES > SYSTEM RESTORE AND CHANGE IT TO THE TIME THAT YOU NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEWARE YOUR FILES OR ANY SCHOOL OR ANY NECASSARY WORK OR DOWNLOADED CONTENTS WILL BE REMOVED

    2) YOU DONT HAVE TO BUT THIS IS A SECOND OPTION > IF NUMBER 1 DUNT ALLOW YOU TO THEN YOU HAVE A MAJOR MALFUNCTION WHICH WONJT ALLOW YOU TO DO ANYTHING GO TO RESTART COMPUTER AND WHEN IT LOADS WINDOWS XP AND COMES WITH THE BLUE BAR SAYING LOADING THEN FROM THE COMPUTER TURN IT OFF HOLD OF YOUR OFF BUTTON AND THEN TURN ON AGAIN THEN WHEN YOU TURN IT ON YOU WILL GET FEW OPTIONS THEN YOU HAVE TO CLICK SAFE MODE AND DONT WORRY IT MIGHT BE SCARY WITH LOADS OF FILES COMING UP BUT DO IT AND THEN LOGIN AND DO WHAT I SAID IN OPTION 1 RIGHT

    3) INSTALL YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM ALL OVER AGAIN WITH A WINDOWS 7 OR XP CD DONT DO THIS UNTIL YOU TRIED 1 AND 2

if google chrome is like IE you might be able to right click on google chrome and see properties and from there you might be able to set something like a home page maybe check make sure its on a safe website and if it isn’t put it to a safe website and try start google chrome

  3. Incredulous says:

    1. This is a fault specific to Google Chrome. Use another browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.
    2. This sounds like a fake AV program. Download “Malwarebytes” – this should get rid of it. Time to get a good antivirus so this doesn’t happen again. Download a trial of Kaspersky, for example, and install.
    3. Sounds like same or other virus is mucking with your USB port drivers. Hopefully 2. above should sort this.

  4. Cabbage Fog says:

Use this to scan (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php) It removes malware..and If you’re using xp use this (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix) this fix system error and more..

    For Shortcut Problem:

It’s the work of “W32/VBWorm.BEUA “. It also have other aliases but the most popular among its victims is “The annoying shortcut virus!”. Rumors says that this virus is orginated from indonesia use just for prank purposes. its threat level is low, infecting external storage devices (exp: usb drive, memory card, etc) So.. No need to cry for this prank. The first thing NOT to do is to FORMAT your flash drive. Your file is NOT gone or corrupted, its just HIDDEN.

Follow these steps (if you are using windows..):
    1) open your infected drive directory (example: drive F:)
    2) open tool, folder option, view tab
    3) click “show hidden files & folders”
    4) UNCLICK both “Hide extension for known file type” and “Hide protected operating system files (recommended)”
    5) If there is a warning, just click yes

/* Now you should be able to see your lost file (its in transparent folder)*/

    6) Enter the hidden folder, CUT all your file and PASTE it inside a new folder. (repeat this step for your other folder too)
    7) Delete all old folders that is empty and also the annoying 1kB shortcut folder. (also any suspicious folder or icon such as desktop.ini, thumb.db etc that might be virus)
    8) Dont forget to undo step 2 and 3 if your done.

/*if you’re infected by this virus again in the future, i recommend you to put all your files and folder in just ONE folder inside your external device.(so you dont have to repeat step 6 so many time)*/

    good luck!

There are many possible reasons for this kind of Crashing…

    1. System Errors:
Many errors in system or corrupt data in windows registry leads to crashes. First you need to fox those with any good software toll available such as RegInOut. It will also impact computer performance in positive way.

    2.Virus or Trojans:
If you find your Computer Crashes, run an updated virus scanner as you could have a virus.

    3.Fragmented Disk:
As files are added, deleted, and updated on a disk, the contents of the file can become spread across different sectors located in different regions of the disk. This is called file or disk fragmentation. Disk fragmentation can slow down your machine because the disk heads have to move back and forth to find all the fragments of a file. Windows comes with it’s own disk defragmentation tool and the microsoft website explains how to run it.

    4.Repair system files:
When trying to solve Computer Crashes problem, the Last Known Good Configuration will only repair the registry data. But if there is something wrong with the system files, it will result in system instability or failure to log in the system. So a scan with the system command “SFC” is needed. Once a file is found to be missing or damaged, you will be prompted to insert the installing CD to restore the original file. You can go to Start -> run -> type “sfc /scan now” and then “Enter” to begin the scanning. By the way, please remember to use a patched CD to restore the system if the operating system in the installing CD is an older one, avoiding a restore to an older version.
