A scan with Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware means nothing. It certainly does not mean that your laptop is virus free.
MalwareBytes AntiMalware (MBAM) is not a complete anti-virus solution and should not be used in place of a good “traditional” anti-virus software.
MBAM is instead a specialized removal tool that deals mostly in what are called “rogues”. For every baddie that MalwareBytes finds it will miss dozens. Perhaps hundreds of viruses.
From the MalwareBytes people themselves on their official forum:
“Our software is not anti-virus software, and is not meant to replace anti-virus software. It is meant to complement anti-virus software and cover the areas where anti-virus software is weak.”

To properly remove and protect your computer from viruses and most all other malware, one needs to use a good anti-virus software with real-time protection.
I suggest Avast.
Avast now includes anti-virus, some anti-spyware capability and anti-rootkit components. And all for the low low price of free. You can get it here:

Add a good dedicated anti-spyware like SUPERAntiSpyware and you will have top protection for free.

They have a free version and it’s excellent.
Good luck.
You can use SpywareNoMore.
As we all know Computer hackers seeking financial gain rather than thrills or notoriety are increasingly flooding the Internet with malicious software code (spyware, adware, key loggers, trojans). They are infecting computers with highly sophisticated programs that record surfing habits, bank passwords and other key financial data and send them to crooks over the Internet. These programs can be hard to spot, disguised in downloads such as toolbars, search engines, browser accessories, screen savers and other seemingly helpful utilities.
SpyNoMore anti-spyware safeguards your identity and restores system performance through fast, smart and powerful spyware protection.
